Beer lovers, take note! The second annual Eastern Oregon Beer Festival takes place in La Grande, June 19 and 20, at the Union County Fairgrounds. Now a two-day event, the festival features beer from over twenty breweries across Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond. Live music, local crafts, great local food, and Q&A’s with brewers are all part of the fun. Everyone with a Tasting Pass, or VIP Pass will be given a commemorative tasting mug!
Organizers invite you to bring your dad to the event for Father’s Day! Doors open Friday, June 19, at 6 p.m., for General Admission pass holders, and at noon, Saturday, June 20, for general admission pass holders, while VIP pass holders may come an hour earlier each time. Included are rare and exclusive beers from all over Oregon, as well as beers from outside of the state that have never before been poured in Oregon! The Beer Festival After Party begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday, when the switch is made from taster glasses to full pours.
For Beer Fest, Northeast Oregon Public Transit will add an additional stop at the Union County Fairgrounds, and their hotel loop on Island Avenue. Loveland Funeral Chapel provides another option for EOBF attendees, with safe rides home.
In addition to the festivities at the Fairgrounds, local merchants are offering all kinds of specials in downtown La Grande from Thursday, June 18, through Saturday, June 20. Be sure to stop downtown to check out the Beer Fest Specials!
General Admission tasting passes are $25, while VIP tasting passes are $50. Admission for non-pass holders is just $5 at the door. This is a 21 and over event.
