The Sumpter Valley Railroad invites you to board the Starlight Express, August 10, 2013. Departing from the McEwen Depot at 8 p.m., passengers will be treated to a steam powered twilight trip to Sumpter as the moon rises over the valley. After complimentary cake and coffee at the Sumpter Depot, the train returns to McEwen Depot under the glow of the stars. A bonus is the apex of the Perseid Meteor showers, one of the most spectacular events on the annual cosmic calendar.
The train is scheduled to arrive back at McEwen shortly after 10 p.m. Open, closed, and semi-enclosed coaches are offered with open seating so that you can decide which car offers you the best view.
