Three area artists will be among hundreds of artists formerly featured on Art Beat to showcase their work April 19-June 15
OPB’s long-running TV production, Oregon Art Beat, and The Peoples Art of Portland are presenting a special art exhibition celebrating the work of hundreds of Northwest artists who have all appeared on Art Beat over the last 15 years.
Three local artists represented by Stewart Jones Designs, a jewelry studio and art gallery in Joseph, Oregon, will have work displayed in this special show: Stewart Jones, jewelry; Tom Clevenger, segmented wood turnings; and Shelley Curtiss, bronze.
The event, “Oregon Art Beat Exhibition: Celebrating 15 Years of Creativity on OPB” is free and open to the public, and runs from April 19, 2014 through June 15, 2014. It will take place in Portland on the third floor atrium of Pioneer Place Mall at The Peoples Art of Portland Gallery, the Mark Woolley Gallery and the Art Beat Main Stage Gallery. Hours for this exhibition are 12 Noon to 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday and all ages are welcome.

The exhibition features a curated collection of work from Oregon artists, bringing together paintings, metal work, sculpture, calligraphy, animation, pottery, woodwork, jewelry, performance art, music and much more.
The Art Beat Main Stage Gallery will host live performances by musical, dance and spoken word artists who have all formerly appeared on Art Beat. There will be two weekly performance events on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Pioneer Place Galleries are located at 700 Southwest Fifth Avenue (at Yamhill Street) in Portland, across from Regal Cinemas. The galleries are on the third floor of the Atrium building. The best mall entrance for attendees is located at Starbucks on Southwest Fifth and Morrison Street.
