OXBOW, Oregon, May 1, 2017 — The road that crosses over Hells Canyon Dam will be closed to all traffic on Wednesday, May 3, from 8 a.m. to noon and from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., Mountain Daylight Time.
The temporary closure is necessary to conduct maintenance on the switchyard below the dam. The work requires a crane to be on top of the dam to move heavy equipment within the switchyard. This doesn’t impact OR 86 from Baker City to Oxbow nor the road leading to the dam.
